So, this weekend Jamie and I decided to get into the Fall mood! We took off mid saturday morning to go off to the country, which considering we don't live far from the country was only about a 20 min. drive (so convient!), to go apple picking! I've got a potluck dinner coming up and like to take this opportunity to refresh my ability to cook! Good old fashion cooking..well, baking.
We went out to this great family run apple orchard and took in the great fall flavor. There were so many families out there, which made it fun to people watch...a small insight into things to come.
They had a live band, a big bar-b-que, hayrides, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch and of course the apple orchards. All-in-all we picked a bag of apples, rode some hayrides, made our way OUT of the corn maze, had some lunch, and had a GREAT time! We definetly see it becoming a Witheridge family tradition and more than that we're really looking foward to all the yummy baked apple goodies that are instore!

i love apply picking!! chris hates apple pie so he isn't so much fun but i try to make him go over year! i think if our farm had a big BBQ he would be more interested in going!
